I got some new wire recently. You can get this stuff from mcmaster carr. It's stainless aircraft wire. It's thicker than I've ever had and takes a beautiful curve. This is a quick doodle, but I'm wanting to make some large outdoor mobiles this way.

This wire sounds like just what I'm after. I checked the McMaster-Carr website and only saw stainless aircraft *cable* -- do you remember anything more about the specs of the wire? Gauge, etc? I see some McMaster wax-coated stainless lashing wire that comes in two grades (economy & multipurpose) and two gauges (0.045 and 0.038) -- could it have been one of those?
